Defender - Got My Defender Arcade Cabinet Working!

pulled out the ROM board, removed the ROM chips, cleaned all the contacts and sockets, reinstalled... IT WORKS!

I bet you let out a shout when it powered up and you saw "Unit OK" and heard the noise :)

what did you do to fix the problem? I have a defender cocktail with similar(although not quite as bad) issues. I think I might send my rom board out for a cleaning and re-flashing.

@S0MePuNK sorry i missed this comment. hope you got it working. all i did was pull the rom chips off, clean then, and blow out the pin holes and it started working.

@funkbum I did the same thing to mine and everything seems to have cleared up. Next I have to just bite the bullet and buy new joy sticks...get new plexi(or glass), and clean up the cab in general. Thanks for the advise.
