  • hey there..i am literally blind without glasses.i either wear glasses or contacts almost all the time! i have to use -3.75 lenses,is it possible to cure my eyesight using bates method?? its recommended that u refrain from wearing glasses if u r doing the exercises but i can barely see anything if i dont wear them,so how often should i wear glasses without further harming my eyesight?

  • @TheBillibabu Yes, it's recommended not to wear glasses at all unless you need to for safety reasons e.g. driving. I think you're exaggerating a bit abouyt being blind without glasses. Maybe you can't focus, but you certainly can see. The starting point is to accept this blur and explore its possibilities. Can you see a pen on a desk? Can you see its colour? Can you see how many pens there are? Things like that, you can practise without glasses.

  • But in the first video i saw of you . you were talking about an eye excersise where u try to control and focus your central vision . I'm confused ?

  • @G0LDENL0VEMUSIC sorry, I don't remember suggesting any eye exercise. Bates method is about practising brain connections. When you practise with your central vision, you are doing a brain exercise - being aware of the central point in your visual field and how it becomes less visible when you look away from it. Does that make sense?

  • I have really blurry sight on my right eye due to the shape of the back of my eye according to obstetritians. could this help my right eye?

  • @POLlyy23 You mean opticians I hope? Or are you having a baby? I can't really comment on what you are saying because it sounds medical and I'm not a doctor.

  • @BatesHappysight should we keep our eyes closed while palming?

  • @clubtour thanks for the suggestion :)

  • @Fragem420 Sure, if you're a sucker for authority, that's probably all you need to know to reject this without trying it or without looking further into it. You wouldn't be alone in that.

  • @TheBillibabu Remember, when you're on a computer you can zoom in (usually ctrl - + ) to make the text bigger (a lot bigger). That should lessen the strain on your eyes and at the same time allow for you to read without glasses or contacts (perhaps).

  • @Xinoutorah ...cont. Affirm to yourself that the whole process - starting to rub your eyes, becoming conscious of it, and ceasing the activity, are all part of the process to unlearn a habit.

  • @Xinoutorah Also with regards to rubbing your eyes it can be a bit tricky to let that habit go as you usually start doing it before you're aware that you're doing it. This, however, is something you can make the focus of training to let go of. Whenever you become aware that you are rubbing your eyes (but shouldn't) simply cease and make a point of not blaming yourself for lapsing or become annoyed. cont...

  • @windyrainStorm If you are going to "throw away" your minus lenses then FIRST make certain you pass. You can get them for FREE here: (Just type the w's then)

i-see. org / eyecharts. html Print it out, put it on the wall, and you are on your way to normal vision using Bates and other methods.

  • @HappyHag ohooo i get it! thank youuuuuu lalalalalaaa haha lol

  • @rosemazekitten You can't train your muscles. What you train is your brain. You do it by being aware of the images your brain is making. When you palm your eyes for five minutes your brain says 'Hey, nothing to do, let's relax' and then when you open your eyes, just for a moment, you see more clearly. If you take note of this moment and keep practising it, you train your brain about relaxing when it deals with your eyes.
