  • it is just preying on the idea of becoming a Great Master... a real fight is something else, this is just pretense. martial arts nowadays are just an alternative aerobical training

  • Well becoming a master of any art starts with practice. This video is a small step in that process.

  • I am a pupil of Akidio. Ofcourse this video is not realistic it is a demonstration. I have used Akidio against brazilian jijutsu, tai kwion do, muay thai, and a few other combat arts. They do not move exactly where you want, but if you think fast, and bend their arm right, someone can be thrown fairly easy. Akidio mixed with brazilian jijutsu is extremely hard to beat. WIth throws to the ground and any hold or choke of brazillian jujistsu.

  • This is a training video, the actions have been slowed to show principals that a included in the full DVD

  • Aikido is extremely effective

  • LOL you can NOT learn Akido in three lessons. This style is for very high level martial artists.

  • @ruteisabelmendes

appreciate your thoughts and yes i heard he said something like

irimi nage takes ten years and ikkyo takes a lifetime

    still

i'd like to think you can begin applying the principles in your life from the first lesson

and i think it made my life better from the first time i saw it

    best wishes

    "create a beautiful world"

  • perhaps if we'd called it instead 'a POSSIBLE way of applying aikido principles to life' it might have helped. if so please hear it that way. i respect everyone's right to approach the art as they choose and seek from it what they will. when a kung fu teacher said, "aikido is no good for fighting." a friend said, "maybe but it's good for not-fighting."

o sensei said, "winning means winning over the discord in your own mind"

thank you for watching and sharing who you are

    peace

  • check out on youtube

    Aikido Shihan Robert Nadeau

He was deshi to O Sensei

  • Aikido is for correcting your own mind.

Winning means winning over the mind of discord in yourself.

There is no enemy of love. There is no discord in love. Aikido is the realization of love.

Aikido does not call relative affairs good or bad but keeps all beings in a constant state of growth and development and serves for the completion of the universe.

    Rely on Peace

    To activate your

    Manifold powers;

    Pacify your environment

    And create a beautiful world.

  • AIKIDO IN THREE LESSONS???? U joking right?

Morihei Ueshiba himself, said once that it takes at least 10 years to learn the basic techniquees!

If you are already a black belt (graduated by a non-McDojo) you should already know that it takes much more than watching an 1 minute video on YouTube to learn this noble art called Aikidô.

Don't dishonour it with this video.

    Peace.

    P.S: Great ukemis! *-* Congrats!

  • Aikido in 3 steps is possible if you believe anything is possible. Like it is possible I can wake up in the morning on the moon on beach front property. Highly unlikely! It is video titles like this which give the art a bad name! But how many of you have really gone up a good aiki practitioner before? Not a wanna be but the real thing? Someone who knows what they are doing and how and when to do it will beat a loud mouth drunk bully most of the time. I have they were drunk, and it was fun. ; D

  • This is a load of crap aikido sucks. I take self defense but defently not this crap, I knew how to do that before I even thought bout self defense it's just my instinct. But watever ppl who have no idea how to fight take aikido and learn how to walk! ;)

  • @danw1374 im 16 and i feel like shit for not doing this stuff--at least you dont hate yourself as much as i do. You can do it, go for it!!!

  • @danw1374 Bullshit... 'the moment you embrace your limitations is the moment you start dying' Two and a half men quote :P Go learn it!

  • id love to learn akido, at 37 though perhaps i am too old
