READ FAQ's at bottom!
DC Park at Cameron Yards is the home for games played in the Zachary Lane Wiffleball League. It all started as an idea one summer morning in 2005. We could use the house as a home run, but what about lefties? We decided to use stakes and caution tape that first year, and a chair for a strike zone. We had a great time, and hosted a few tournaments. The next year things got serious. With the addition of a fence in right, a foul pole, a scoreboard, a new K Zone, advertisements, and three new lights, the field was set for its first official season. Over 150 games were played on DC Park, including 50 regular season games, and over 70 tournament games. Three tournaments were held on the field and many historic games resulted. In 2007, new pitch speed and tape restrictions were put to use, and this greatly lowered home run totals. In 2008, 2 new lights were added, making the field completely lit up at night. Plans for a higher fence in the future have been made, and the second fence has been purchased. Check back in a couple weeks for new photos of our redesigned field.

FAQ's
Where did you get the fence?
We bought it at 3tproducts.com. They don't sell it anymore, but they do have a more expensive one.
Where did you get the ads?
We printed them out online into small papers, then taped them together and got them laminated. It's easy to hook them onto the fence when it's not windy.
Where did you get the lights?
The lights are 100 watt halogen lights from Home Depot. They were cheap and pretty easy to install. Our whole light setup was done in about 4-5 hours, with only 2 people.
Where did you get the Strike Zone?
We painted the logo on a piece of ply wood with Sanford Mean Streaks and nailed it to wooden stakes.
Where did you get the mound?
The mound was naturally formed from footprints. We raised it with clay from our town field (Shhhh!) and put a painted wooden block for the mound.
Where did you get the scoreboard?
We used ply wood, 2x4s, nails, and paint. The number are paper with nails for weights.
How deep is it?
Read above. Our new field is much bigger.
What song is this?
This is "Beautiful Game" by UDORA. It is a great song to represent our passion for wiffleball.
Where did you get the DC Park sign?
We painted that onto a piece of wood.
Nice field!
Thanks.
Is there a new video coming out soon?
Two years ago we switched the field around to make it less of a lefty's park. The new field looks much better and the video should be out by April 26.
