He realised it was a pretty crap movie.
But, like others are saying, it wasn't in any way, all his fault

People who say this is the worst movie ever made need to see Manos: The hands of fate or Troll 2. They're both proof of just how bad movies can get, and miraculously makes B & R look like The Dark Knight in comparison.

I forgive him. i blame Warner Bros. for this since they wanted to make the movie more family-friendly. Joel isn't entirely to blame.

to all the people who talk about how "NOLAN MADE BATMAN REALISTiC LIKE HE iS SUPPOSED TO BE" I hope you understand that Batman is not in anyway realistic I mean the guy lives in a world with people like Superman and to throw a name in Plastic Man he fights people like Killer Croc and Mr.Freeze I mean I love the Nolan films their much better then the Schumacher films but I think they overdo the Realism aspect we will never see characters like Freeze or Man-bat in a nolan film because of that.
