  • i'm not trying to be one of the trolls here. I'm pretty sure your gear must be insulated from the metal box itself or the emp shielding won't work."The only two requirements for protection with a Faraday box are: (1) the equipment inside the box does NOT touch the metal container (plastic, wadded paper, or cardboard can all be used to insulate it from the metal) and (2) the metal shield is continuous without any gaps between pieces or extra-large holes in it".best of luck and thanks for the vid.

  • @mystmouth Have you read the work of Michal Faraday, the inventer of the faraday cage?? I think not, or you would not leave comments like this

  • just giving it to you straight dsarti1 but, your so disgustingly out of shape you wouldnt live long enough in a societal collapse to put all your gear to use effectively, do the right thing and give it away to other "preppers" etc. who can put it to use for a longer period of time. : /

  • @TheSamswam Well I have survived 50 years. So giving it to you straight you do not have enough brain cells to survive, so you better also give away all your stuff

  • if you ever spot a Peli brand case in a surplus store Go for it ,,italian made they're made from a combination of resin and fiberglass and they're used in a lot of fields from photography diving plus they make for indestructible cases to mount on your vehicle..waterproof as well..worst case scenario you can resell it for a decent profit

  • i think this is a radio case. couse i got one from the 60s thats looks almost just like this one. but mine is from sovijet. and i got the radio in mine. its perfekt for the feilds.

  • you watch to much movies

  • Where is a good place to buy com equipment , I would only have me, my son and may be a friend or two , if they have skills. We would need t o communicate only short distances and may a radio for news and info, assuming any is to be had.

Yes , Alex Jones is definetly off the chain. I "run the filter" everytime I hear him talk, he has some good info and I just ignore the crazy conspiracy stuff.

  • maybe i'm wrong(probably) but i was under a very direct impression that the reason that this case was once insulated is because it was required to protect the touchy electronics from e.m.p. i was also under the impression that once this box has had this insulation removed the e.m.p. would cook the gear inside. protecting a man from electrical current is one thing, (look up current Mohan) defending your gear from e.m.p. might be another story...

  • (Part Two) My doc put me on steroids and in the last year I have gained 75 lbs (60 lbs of it was in the first 30-45 days) but I'd bet my life that non of you would out survive me. And in any case....who are you to judge? If it doesn't effect you STFU and go about you business.

  • (Part One) All you a-holes calling this guy fat...ignorantly knocking his gear and to all those who routinely sit behind there PC and muster up the courage (just kidding...you're all pussies) to criticize and make fun of people should STFU (Most survivalist are well armed). I know you all have low or no self-esteem and picking on & harassing others make you feel like you have a 9 inch cock (that Jessica Alba can't get enough of) but what you see of people online is only part of the story.

  • Take no notice of all them tossers that say you are fat and wont live etc. You are one of the best REAL-LIFE survivalists I have seen. You will outlive all the cynics mate. Take care and good luck!!

  • Dude you are FAT!

  • You must of never seen The Government in Canada, my father works for them and all of his tools are 100% working condition and he got for free from stuff they were throwing out. Also they used to have Solar Water heaters on top of some building and they decided to throw them out(they were put up on the 1970's and taken down in the 1980's and we have used them ever since and never had one problem.

We also have much more, a 40ft by 80ft barn full with free stuff going into the garbage.
