Smile [live session cover by Peter Bosman featuring Jessica Canaday (Jekkize)]

I was very happy that Jessica (Jekkize) agreed to work with me again, this time on the song "Smile" that was originally written by Charlie Chaplin. I remember hearing it for the first time as a cover by my all-time favorite artist Michael Jackson. It should thus come as no surprise that this version is closer to that one than Nat King Cole's version.

Still, this version differs from either covers and is perhaps more dramatic with much passion going into my keys approach of playing a violin, ultimately layered with a set of bigger strings.

Jessica did an amazing job on the vocals and suggested the black-and-white look and feel.

What you hear and see is a LIVE, single-take, performance on both ends! No multi-take editing afterward, no autotune, only some audio mastering and video compositing for your listening and viewing pleasure.
