I remember when Junior (before he went Techno) dropped this at The Sound Factory on the West Side in NYC. He was a bad deejay once upon a time. We used to get to the Club at 10pm and party until six in the morning!!! My Moms used to get pissed but we were out of high school then. We used to say that we were grown!!! Ahhhh... adolescence!!! Those were the days... the better days!

Wow 20+yrs NYC WBLS Midday Jams...The Bassline w/Junior Vasquez, before he went Techno. It's crazy how some of the DJ's from back in the day, imo, sold out to the record companies to produce the club crap they play in the clubs today. Dance music today has no soul and don't inspire, it just makes you want to get up and slap somebody and their mama. Sadly, those artists who are still making soulful house are obscure & you have to really search for them. Thanks for posting a feel good classic

Again -let me clarify my comment - I know that Junior Vasquez had nothing to do with this song...my comment was purely nostalgic, reminding me of when JV used to spin this record at a club in NYC back in the '80s called the Bassline...However, after re-reading my comment I can see how you would assume that I thought JV was a part of this song, and in a way he is, like many DJs from the past, he introduced this brilliant song to us in the clubs by simply playing it
