i am embarking on a 3-month, 92 day raw food lifestyle, starting TOMORROW. Any advice or help is GREATLY appreciated, as long as it's positive. I don't need to hear that I'm crazy, it's dangerous, it's extremist, etc. I chose this.

  • I guess you have already gone through your experimental attempts... how did it go? Still going? There is a balance in cleaning your body. It can be dangerous and discouraging. I am happy to offer you some advice if you are still working to get there-- I was raw for some time almost 6 months, and I never had more energy or a sharper mental focus. I am an herbalist, Thai massage therapist, personal trainer, reflexologist, and I know how to use diet for detoxing the body.

  • David Wolfe's compatriot is a guy named Arlin who wrote a book called "Raw Power"... He is totally raw and the image of health. The diet of Genesis 1:29 is THE way to go, no doubt about it. God doesn't make mistakes.

    On thing you might consider is that having lived in the US, and eaten a standard American diet for any length of time, you likely have other things going on... ie, heavy metals, old medications, petrochemicals, and other environmental chems, as well as parasites.

  • I eat a raw food diet but not a raw vegan diet. I eat raw meat, raw eggs, raw butter, etc. as well as raw low-starch veggies and raw berries. If your going to eat a raw vegan diet, I'd recommend a lot of avocadoes and coconut oil for good fats. Fats are critical for good health. I believe raw animal fats are essential but it's your choice to be raw vegan. David Wolfe is the only healthy- looking raw vegan I know and he eats ants for B12. He also takes krill oil so he's not really vegan.
