@shettrick how long to do you think the total mileage will be if i started from the 210, off at Sant Anitia exit, all the way up to mt. wilson. BTW, thanks for your response. i'm basing my decision on your opinions. :~)

@cliffcox66 I'm no expert but I think it's about 6 or 7 mile hike from Chantry Flat (top of Santa Anita Ave. 3 miles from 210 freeway where you have to park car). So, 12-14-mile roundtrip hike. But do a Google search to be sure.
