200 Yard IM - February 25-26, 2007

Junior Olympics meet, February 25-26, 2007 in Corpus Christi, TX. Kelsey is swimming in lane 8 (nearest to the camera). The 200 IM includes four strokes -- butterfly, back stroke, breast stroke, and free style. The pool here is 25 yards in length, so each stroke covers 50 yards each, for a total of 200 yards. Kelsey realized she forgot her goggles at the last second, and had to swim this event without them. In spite of this, she still managed to secure a B cut for this event (faster than some who swam WITH goggles). We were VERY proud of her! The timers congratulated her at the end of the event for being so professional even though she had to swim without goggles.
