@PaisleyPlace That is some of the most MESSED UP SHIT I've heard. They could've saved your cousin's life by performing a simple blood test. The Red Cross preaches all that shit about helping people. What hypocrites.
@malikai888 A simple test developed by the French in cooperation with other virologists found that by using a test for Hepatitis, they could remove a large part of the tainted blood from the blood supply. This could have saved my cousin's life. He could have watched his baby grow up and grow old with his wife but it was all the bottom line of money and ignorance, which still pisses me off to this day. Then schools perpetuate it by not teaching about condoms vs abstinence-only. Its death sentence
@malikai888 If anyone wants to see the truth of the progressive & chronicles of Grid to Aids to HIV/AIDs, check out a movie called And the Band Played On. It's an older movie but it shows the blatant disregard of the public, the Red Cross, hospitals, and even doctors w/regards to the disease as they'd not tell their straight patients they had it. I was so full of rage back then, esp after losing my cousin. The Red Cross refused to test blood after a test was available!
@malikai888 By sheer grace & lots of luck, the mother nor baby were infected. The pregnancy was high-risk & the docs believed he was infected after she got pregnant & wasn't allowed to have sex or it'd risk premature labor and/or miscarriage. He was in a wreck & needed blood in the early term of her 2nd trimester. He died shortly b4 the baby came. He wasn't a drug user or gay & hated needles after spending a lifetime under med care yet rumors went around 4 a while until better sense prevailed.
@malikai888 Back in the early or EARLIER days of Aids, it was called GRID & ignorance won out & Aids became a gay-only disease. Christians used the disease as a pulpit to rail against homosexuals by claiming they "deserved" to get the disease & it was their "god's way of punishing gays." I remember those days, only it wasn't just a gay disease. A cousin was a hemophiliac or free-bleeder & req'd lots of blood transfusions. He got Aids/GRID & he was married & died b4 birth of their 1st child.
