Hey Bulldog / Virtual Beatles

Virtual Beatles, one of the very first virtual bands on Youtube, produces excellent Beatles covers. Jun626, Frenchtouch and MG4150 wanted to do Hey Bulldog and, given that it's got a prominent piano part, gave me the opportunity to sit in and play keyboards. great fun...........one of me favorites from them........excellent piano parts, fat beatle bass, & guitar tone is spot on............ vocals r tuff to dupe , but dont let it stop ya.......double track the vocals & harmonies..........yeah everybody can do better ......bullshit

@marbleheadband Hey thanks, man... I appreciate the kind words. Julian was like 17 when he played that sweet violin bass and did the vocals. Jun is perpetually fantastic. I hadn't realized Lennon wrote and played that piano part until researching it for the cover.

bass parts aren't hard to nail (as are any parts in beatles songs)...the vocals are...how presumptuous of y'all...and i do have a version to share with the world, not quite up to beatles standards but a helluva better than this!

@mlb0226 Oh, Hi... sorry, I missed your question. We used beat mapping in Logic to create a metronome track that matched the original song so that there could be a count in and then we recorded our tracks against the original song and metronome track. You then email your track to the producer (jun626 in this case) . I've done a few of these and in some cases the musicians will re-record their parts against the other tracks. vanderbilly in particular, does that.
