Lakeland Rides #2 - A591 Keswick to Bothel

My personal favourite biking road in the world, the A591 from Keswick to Bothel (England) driven briskly but smoothly on a 2001 Honda VTR 1000 sp-1 in early September 2007. This is the lo-res version due to uploading restraints, and the lo-revs version due to the camera not being able to take more than 7000 rpm without picture break-down!

I live in newcastle upon tyne but me and my dad frequently ride over to keswick and have seen/been on this road a couple of times. Its a nice road with ample bends to keep my happy on my sp2. By the way, Don't let all the haters on this get your back up. i've been biking since i was 8 years old on track and then on road since i was allowed to. Riding everyday.

Some people try and start a sad pointless argument regarding safety over youtube, and to be honest they need to get a life.

I live & work ( and drink & smoke & party) in the Netherlands, the one thing I REALLY miss is good biking roads.

The saddos don't get to me coz they're so outnumbered by good people like you, who know what they're talking about.

(but i do travel the road five times per week :-))

nice though and although on the video it looks like blind bends, in reality there are only a couple, so people should get there facts right before posting silly comments about tipping into blind corners

Did you read the blurb? At the time I was using the 'mark I' camera mount & couldn't go over 7,000rpm. Plus it was only the second time I've ridden that road since about 1992.

I am NOT trying to be another 'Ghost Rider'. Basically just wanted to show my Dutch friends what 'bends' & 'hills' mean!

Nice vid,Very much like my riding style,fast but safe.your bike seems to go well,wish i had gone for the 1000,only have a 600 and need to ring its neck all the time.would much prefer power on tap like you seem to have here!

That road is sweet and you obviously know it well.

im a big fan of Keswick too walkers seem to get in the way though!!!

this is the comment that Dandizzle has sent me regarding this video, as you can see it is out of order esp as i also ride bikes and i cannot believe someone should be like this because of a comment that was meant to be and was taken as fun.

is thai dandizzle really attacking motorcyclists as i begrudge to call him or her a fellow motorcylist. if they are man enough i could allways show them......
