It seems like the truck is only partly loaded

why is it that they don't fill it up even wet it can't weigh that much can it>

just asking as it looks like a very small load int the box that is being dumped.

mud is extremely heavy so you can't put as much as you can with dry dirt. Also if you put more than 7 yards on the trucks it tends to leak out the tailgate on the trip over to the dump site. Blobs of mud falling out of trucks going down the road does not make the state happy haha!

Was that pond a temp settling basin for runoff during const to keep it out of the creeks? Or is that a detention pond that just silted up over the years? Does that stuff ever dry out?
