Streakwave Wireless is pleased to introduce two new and dynamic outdoor 802.11 a/n choices from MikroTik. They are MikroTik's smallest outdoor series Wi-Fi radios. Models include: Groove 5Hn (CPE) and 5-AHn (CPE and AP).

These 5 GHz 802.11 a/n 1x1 MIMO systems, have an N-male connector for easy use of an external antenna directly or by a standard antenna cable. The Groove gives you the power of the MikroTik OS combined with a full featured RouterBOARD technology and with up-to 125 MBit aggregate throughput possible. They are truly small but powerful.

With the Groove 5Hn model you get 32MB of onboard RAM and a RouterOS Level 3 license for CPE functionality. Step up to the Groove A-5Hn and you gain 64MB of onboard RAM and a RouterOS Level 4 license giving you the ease and access of both a CPE and AP, your choice.

Both models come complete with power-supply and PoE injector and mounting loops. They are easy to install and align and come with built-in LED signal indicators. I buy Wiligear from Streakwave. A very reliable vendor for long 802.11 links. We often bridge 15 km 802.11b hops with Point-to-point links and 23 dBi antennae on either end.

I can't avoid commenting on the young woman doing the presentation. She did a nice job, and clearly rehearsed, but stumbled a bit over some of the specs. Probably not an engineer. They should have had an engineer do the vid. An attractive woman is nice, but let's focus on the technology.
