This is a great 45 by Wade, which is relatively unknown. Hidden on the B side of his version of Ain't That Lovin' You Baby, this should've been the A side and should've been a big hit for him. Actually, this tune sounds like it would be perfect for James Hunter to record....however I understand he only records originals....James, will ya reconsider, huh?? This is perfect for you!! You can catch great records like this every night of the week live at www.topshelfoldies.org!

  • There are a few songs called "I'll Come Runnin'". Not knowing anything about Wade Flemons or the time period in which he recorded, I clicked on this one when I saw it in my subscriptions box today because I wondered if it would turn out to be Neil Diamond's song with this title, which was the B-side of "Cherry Cherry". And ironically, an obscure "Cherry Cherry" version showed up in my subscriptions box today, so that would have really been something if a version of its B side came today, too!

  • @rslitman There's a version of Cherry Cherry I like by the Coral Reef on the Epic label -- it's a rather strange version..... an aquired taste, really.

  • The one that showed up yesterday was by Jonathan King. I believe the only US hit he had was the super-boring (in my opinion) "Everyone's Gone to the Moon". But his "Cherry Cherry" is a highly spirited version. The version by the Music Machine is quite different from both Neil's version and the better-known Music Machine songs such as "Talk Talk". I'll have to look for the Coral Reef version.
