Amicalola Falls The tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi and we had to hike up it with full hiking backpacks...err not such a good idea. Well, at least we can say we did it. Knowing we never have to do it again is a huge relief. This is where we started our 60 mile hike on the Appalachian Trail. Funny...there were a lot of folks visiting the falls that day and we were the only ones with packs on. All the other hikers we ran into on the trail said they started above the falls. Oh well...live & learn.
