  • sometimes your breathing was very obvious and occasionally you were flat... but oh-my-god, you are an amazing flautist! One thing I should say is that in the cadenza you should put more flair into and not keep to such a strict time signature - it's a very free piece which can afford to be elaborated on :)

I agree with the professional flute thing, get a sonare they rule! was this for an exam or something? x

  • This was for my senior recital. I actually hadn't been playing flute for over a year at this point (piano is my main instrument-- see my other videos--also part of my senior recital); I brought back this piece about three weeks before the recital so it obviously wasn't in great shape.

I've been so used to my Jupiter (the one I have the best that Jupiter makes) that I've been somewhat unwilling to change, but I will change to a better flute sometime soon I hope.

  • What kind of flute do you play?

  • it's a Jupiter flute.

  • sorry about that. omit this as this was supposed to be for someone else. pretty good job there i must say esp for a piano player!

  • I gave you a free lesson. What did you do with it? The suggestions were right on that a good teacher should tell you. You asked for suggestions and I supplied you with ones to improve on this piece that is too hard for you. I would go back to something easier actually.

  • Nice job, especially for a pianist- ha ha ha! Keep up the good work.

  • At your level of playing you should be on an Altus or Miyazawa a more professional brand of flutes.
