  • the reason you dont understandhow theyre that well-known is you have no concept of alt/rock history and most likely youre under 25. They inspired and influenced tons of bands and founded lollapalooza, which in turn inspired many other knock-off festivals. Perry is 50 something and I think he's doing pretty damn good. Go listen to Nothings Shocking and tell me he can't sing. And learn your history before you comment about bands that were around before you were

  • imagine going to a small bar show and getting a performance like this one, no wonder they made it so big, for their time one of the best lve rock bands no doubt, what? no 'jane says' wish i would have been there

  • love janes! i see em every and anytime i can! their live shows always rock! this show is a great example of their diversity and talent! much love and respect to perry, dave and the boys

  • YAY! i'm going to their concert next week!! sep' first!!! woo hoo!!!!

  • @reganbowen I would go crazy

  • did dave navarro just switch from an ibanez to PRS in 2 seconds?

  • @Theonlywaytobe ahahha... most likely under 25

  • They tore that wound wide open that night! Awesome!

  • @Theonlywaytobe I voted up on your comment in spirit, but I don't think it's so much about what they contributed but more their own originality and style. I think the essence of Janes Addiction holds a lot more power in itself that is worth more than what they contributed. Though you did tell the guy to go listen to Nothings Shocking to set him straight over Perry's voice, so you probably get that.

  • whether in an arena or a small club their rythm section always sounds massive.

  • dave navaro?

  • I'm so glad I got a chance to see them with Eric Avery back in the group. They didn't have the same raw, dark energy they had before. Now they sound very rehearsed and polished but still great. I would have loved to see them between the Nothing's Shocking/Ritual de lo Habitual period.
