Merlin and Arthur love each other, but have fallen into hard times when their love is tested by Arthur's short temper and impatience. After a while, Merlin decides enough is enough. He can't go through it anymore.Soon after, Merlin meets Gwaine. Merlin gets to know him and they are instantly drawn to each other.Gwaine treats Merlin with the respect he deserves. The way, in Merlin's eyes, Arthur does not. Despite the letters Arthur sends to Merlin saying he is sorry for everything, Merlin still cannot forgive him. It is only when Arthur can truly say the words that Merlin could possibly begin to forgive him.
Merlin tells Gwaine about his and Arthur's past and Gwaine is not surprised that Arthur is fighting to get him back. After Gwaine and Merlin begin their relationship Arthur finds out and he is heartbroken. Arthur realises that it is his fault and they both begin to wonder how they managed to get to where they are. Arthur has one last chance before his fight, a fight which could ultimately kill him, to tell Merlin how he feels. Will Merlin forgive Arthur and what about Gwaine?

That was brilliant! There were some nice cuts in there, great job. Maybe you should go for a sequel showing what happened to Gwaine after he left? ;-)
