May 2010: From Sea To Shining Sea

Celebrate the masters of American composition and the tradition that inspired them with the New Century Chamber Orchestra. Samuel Barbers beloved Adagio for Strings kicks off a program filled with the most cherished works in American music, including Aaron Coplands joyful Appalachian Spring. Nadja and New Century will present the world premiere of a new violin concerto by 2009-2010 Featured Composer William Bolcom, the undisputed modern master of American music.
