Welcome to the auditions for PROJECT Myu, a new fandub group covering the songs of the Sailor Moon Musicals, also known as the Sera Myu! I've always wanted to do a big group cover of the great songs in these musicals, so I'm really excited to get this project started!
The way the roles will be set up are by main roles, understudies, and extras. In the main roles, we have all of the senshi, Tuxedo Kamen, and recurring villains. Anyone who gets one of these roles will be guaranteed to have the chance to cover every one of the songs their character appears in.
The understudy roles, however, are no less important and are vital to the success of the project. If given an understudy role, you will be responsible for singing your character's part in the instance that the main actor does not have time to get their lines in on time or otherwise fails to get their lines in on time. Understudies will also have the chance to sing their own versions of certain songs together, so there will be plenty to do.
The extra roles are generic spots and are for versatile actors and singers. These actors will be responsible for singing the parts of any character--generally evil--that is not a recurring role. For instance, these are characters like Prince Demand and the members of the Black Moon Family, MC Fly, the Amazons and Amazonnesses, Shitennou, Dracul, Vampiru, etc.
That said, the characters available for audition are--
Sailor Moon + 2 Understudies
Sailor Chibi Moon + 2 Understudies
Tuxedo Kamen + 1 Understudy
Sailor Mercury + 2 Understudies
Sailor Mars + 2 Understudies
Sailor Jupiter + 2 Understudies
Sailor Venus + 2 Understudies
Sailor Uranus + 1 Understudy
Sailor Neptune + 1 Understudy
Sailor Saturn + 1 Understudy
Sailor Pluto + 1 Understudy
Sailor Star Fighter
Sailor Star Maker
Sailor Star Healer
Sailor Galaxia
Queen Beryl
Extras (10 Spots)
You may audition for as many characters as you like, and you may be put in more than one spot. Each actor will only be allowed to play ONE main role, however they may have as many understudy and extra roles as they can handle. That said, don't ask to be put in more roles than you can handle! The amount of songs put out per month is still being decided, but senshi in main roles should be looking at two to three songs per month!
To audition, please post a video response of you singing at least a minute and a half of each of the songs required for your role (shown in video). Auditions will close (tentatively) on December 20th, and the cast list will be posted (also tentatively) on December 22nd. Don't rush your auditions in--do your best and have fun! Ganbatte!
**NOTE: Two to three mixers are also desired! If you have experience mixing, please send a message with an example of your mixing skills!**
**NOTE 2: All images used in the video came from http://seramyuantics.takaginaosama.com!**
I'm really interested, will get video up as soon as I can!

Quick question, based on other auditions and yours: Are we singing in Engrish like the cast or in English? For instance:
Drive me the Mercury sung by the cast (and by me) was sung Drlive me zah Muhcuuuuuriii.
How do you want it sung? (even though my audition is over.

That's a good question, and honestly one I hadn't given a lot of thought to. At this point in time, I don't mind if you sing in English or Engrish (well, with the exception of Mamoru--lmao I think it wouldn't be too blasphemous to fix 'I'm the Prince of the AISU' ;]).
Personally, I tend to switch on and off, so unless we would run into some huge problem where everyone's recording something different and it sounds weird put together, you can sing however you want.

I think I will audition but i have a little question: can I change the song of Beryl, please? I don't know the one you choose and I prefer Yami no Hitsugi.

I would really prefer if you would learn the song asked of you, considering that if you are casted, you will have to learn songs you don't know. There is a lot of time left to audition, you have until December 20th to finish your video, so would it really be so impossible to learn?
