My buddy Steve and I take our P-47 Thunderbolts up for some Tandem flight fun!

I am Filming Using the Hobby-Lobby HD Camera mounted on my hat. Which is why my plane is followed the most.

I'm Flying the Hangar 9 P-47 Thunderbolt 150 Razorback with an FPE 2.4 (40cc) Gas Engine.

Steve is Flying the Top Flite Gold Edition P-47 Thunderbolt with a CRRC 50cc Gas Engine.

The Top Flight model is about 5 inches wider and longer than the Hangar 9 version.

This is our 1st flight together with these models and it's been months since our last tandem flight with our EuroFighters. This is my 1st flight with this model at this field so I opted to land with half flaps and little hot to make sure I had options during approach. All in all, some really great passes together and I absolutely Love the sound of both engines racing through the sky!

  • @RCRedBaron They're beautiful aircraft that's for sure. I would get large gas planes like that and it would be a lot better for the winds we always have here, but I don't have the space for storing it not to mention nowhere to fly it. And at this point I'm not willing to spend the kind of money that these must cost to get flying. The Airfield 1400mm P-47 is only my 3rd plane, so I'd be way to afraid to fly something that expensive.

  • @7jsm7 : I don't mean this in a mean way, but the airfield planes are toys compared to these monsters. I have several Airfield planes and they aren't toys, Im just saying, next to these bad boys, they look like toys. LOL... Mine, the Green Hangar 9 Razorback is 81.25 inch wingspan (2064mm), weighs in at 17 pounds. 40cc Gas Engine swinging a 20x10 prop. The Top Flite (Steve's) is 85 inch wingpsan (2159mm) Weight: 20 pounds. 50cc Gas engine 23x10 prop! Thanks for awesome question! ~~Robert.

  • @bloodhound122 : Thanks man! It was a blast! The actual flying time was 12 minutes. Thats what I had my timer set to. 12 minutes of pure adrenaline flying! Thanks again! ~~Robert.
