russel is an incredible guitar player. very humble too. as far as im concerned, you dont need to know how to shred, in order to be judged as a good or bad guitar player. ITS HOW YOU DELIVER. And russel is always able to deliver with faspitch. Music is music. With the kind of music that they play, i dont think he needs to shred anyway. just my two cents worth of opinion. So to the haters, go criticize those "shredders" that try very hard and cannot deliver.

but russ, EMGs were built for high ends mostly, right? Try any seymours? They mid out from the get go. MT2s sound like MT2s. Hear one, hear em all. Not much to define your own sonic scape. don't say it's how you play or what just drop ego and think about it. have you considered other stompboxes?

There's no hard fast rules of how sound should be. It all boils down to personal preferences.
