A fun claymation for my biology project!
During Prophase, the nuclear membrane disintegrates and the nucleolus disappears. The chromatids now condense and the spindle apparatus starts to form.
Metaphase is one of the shortest stages of mitosis. Sister chromatids are pulled and aligned toward the equator of the cell.
During Anaphase, the chromatids are pulled apart. The microtubles begin to shorten, causing the sister chromatids to separate into 2 identical chromosomes.
During Telophase, the chromosomes reach the poles of the cell. The nuclear envelope and the nucleolus re-forms. Chromosomes decondense.
In this animal cell, cytokinesis is accomplished by using microfilaments to "pinch" the cytoplasm, dividing the ell into 2 daughter cells.
Through interphase, the new daughter cells grow and perform normal functions. DNA is replicated and the cell prepares back for mitosis to continue the cell cycle!

DEAR VLHS FRESHMEN,
I had a ton of fun doing projects like this my freshman year (or maybe I'm just crazy!) ✌ I hope you try your hardest and put lots of effort into all your work because I hear that it only gets tougher to maintain as the years go by. Don't let anyone think that you're just a 'little freshy' ..because you truly can do some amazing things! God Bless! ✞
