I am extremely lucky to have inherited a systematic approach to Shaolin Sparring. Students who train diligently using this approach have no trouble applying traditional Shaolin Kung Fu techniques in sparring.

If you watch my students sparring, you can clearly see the techniques are taken directly from Shaolin Kung Fu forms. What we do looks like (to quote the song) "Kung Fu fighting." There is no bouncing, no boxing, no padding, and no Muay Thai. It is 100% traditional Shaolin Kung Fu.

This video shows me (Anthony Korahais) sparring with my classmate in 2005. As the video progresses, you can see that the sparring becomes more and more spontaneous. Eventually, the sparring is quite free.

You can read more about our systematic approach to sparring here: http://www.flowingzen.com/sparring.htm

I hope you enjoy.
