On February 10, 2010, Human Rights Watch issued a news release, "Rwanda: End Attacks on Opposition Parties," http://www.hrw.org/en/news/2010/02/10/rwanda-end-attacks-opposition-parties, but the attacks haven't ended. FDU-Inkingi candidate Victoire Ingabiré Umuhoza was released, once again, after yet another interrogation by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Rwandan Police. However, on February 18th, Amnesty International joined Human Rights Watch in defense of the Rwandan people, by sending out a release titled "Rwanda: intimidation of opposition parties must end," http://fromtheold.com/rwanda-intimidation-opposition-parties-must-end-2010021...

  • she s nothin more than jus another power hungry politician that wants to open unhealed wounds to get her way. She tried to get her way by supportin a military invasion (with the interahamwe) that failed and now she wants to lecture rwandans on democracy (please!)

As for rwanda being an ally US i wouldnt deny it but before that we had 30+ yyrs of france influence that led to genocide

  • Why not simply have a free and fair election and let the Rwandan people decide who best represents them?

I'm glad to see you acknowledge the destructive engagements of the major imperial powers. As an American I feel compelled to ask my government to call for a free and fair election in this nation they give so much support and praise.

I hope you don't believe that Rwandans are unable to govern their own country.

  • @AnnieGetYourGang get a fk out of our business u aint rwandan so shut a fkup.i ve been followin your comments everywhere and im fedup with it.u act like u r educated and happen to knw more about rwanda problems but u dont.ingabire deserve to get locked up u like it or not shes a geonocide denier period.

  • @ab435 I would absolutely love to get the fk out of your business, meaning love to get the U.S. Pentagon out of your business. I'd love to see the listening station on Mount Karisimbi, in Rwanda, disabled. It relays cell and sat phone, radio, and other electronic transmissions from the whole Great Lakes region to the US Embassy in Kigali.

  • who are you to know what is better for rwandans or not? Rwanda don't want any colonialist people like u

  • I would rather the Pentagon, a.k.a., the U.S. military, were not interfering in Africa as it does, and were not using the Rwandan Army as its proxy. I consider that a hugely destructive colonial project.

  • The future of Rwanda belong to hutus with %80 of population, MAKE NO MISTAKE! Let these stupid ingotanyi (tutis) build this country that will be inheritance to hutu children. I HOPE EVERY BODY UNDERSTAND THAT, IT IS VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND, SIMPLE MATH. IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME.

  • @ab435 People like Annie make me hate the journalism profession. Western journalists don't like to see some parts of Africa trying to developpe themselves, that's why They give always negative aspects to Rwanda, they should keep quite because in their lands too, we find the same problems

  • @xxopfr I like your comment, I agree with u

  • The History must be rewritten:

Kagame is the Cause of all of this

The people you see tied from behind ( back ) have been killed by RPF and Kagame 's Soldiers 1995

This is the truth. Stop lying to the International Community. Stop Lying to people who do not know the really RPF and Kagame. Stop seeing him as a Hero. Then you will start to understand the Rwandan Tragic History, to see the Secrets and unrevealed truth about the Genocide and crimes against humanity that happened 1990 to 2006.

  • it's amazing and sad of how people analyse the Rwandan reality of today! When Kayibanda and Habyarimana's governments were persecuting and killing Tutsis people said nothing! and now Rwanda is rebuilding itself, moving concrete positive progress in all aspects (social, economical, political, etc) and now you say RPF uses "genocide" to oppress people! That's wrong! Genocide is a fact and we shouldn't keep quite about it! The opposition in Rda wants to play the ethnic card game! that's wrong!

  • He's done it again ...

Just yesterday, Victoire Ingabiré Umuhoza has been arrested on behalf of the dictatorial Kagame regime.

  • The Gov of Rwanda and the US have worked over real developmental business deals and are working to put people to work- alleviating poverty (Poverty is the #1 for illiteracy &ignorance)

the 2 major ingredients for disaster and issues such as War and Genocides! Work and Prosperity squashes all the funny and hopeless idealogies people coming from foreign countries after all dust has settled to now tell people that they are for the people by the people and bla bla bla!
