@AnAverageSkeptic If I wasn't educated on health and nutrition, I'd probably have a lot of trouble. I think that people need to make sure they have their facts straight and I would certainly not recommend that everyone go on a vegan diet. It just doesn't work for some people's systems, some lifestyles and some medical issues.

@AnAverageSkeptic Yeah, my family HATES how slowly I eat. They've all scarfed down their food by the time I'm halfway done.
I actually can't eat any form of animal product. My system was completely damaged from a bacterial infection and I don't digest a lot of things properly. I saw a lot of doctors and had emergency room visits while I was figuring all of this out. If I wasn't a vegan, I'd still weigh 95 pounds! (I'm 5'5")
I was waiting to reveal this, but I'm actually a fitness instructor!
I am so sorry! Now I feel bad that you felt you had to make a video! I hope you're doing okay. You really didn't need to do a video if you weren't feeling up to it. Losing a friend is definitely one of the hardest things I have ever gone through.
Thank you for doing this, even though you really didn't have to. I really like to hear intelligent people calmly articulate how they feel about the subject. I actually didn't have anything specifically in mind, I wanted to leave that up to you.

@TheGabster28 I actually like doing videos now because it keep me distracted. The teacher salary I can talk about with more experience. I'm not a vegetarian so I know more the nutrition aspect of it. I didn't know what part of being a vegetarian you wanted. I might just go on blogtv or play my guitar to distract myself

@AnAverageSkeptic I loved that you talked about the nutrition side, actually, because that's not one that I hear very often at all. I had to track my diet, measure my food, write things down for MONTHS before I figured out exactly how I need to do it. I'm a fitness instructor, now, so I'm really glad I did all of that and can make sure I do everything I can to put the right things into my body.

@TheGabster28 Of course everyone is unique, but if you follow the Gracie Diet which you can find online it gives you a lot of energy and has very little meat. The main reason for eating meat is protein, and things associated with protein. You can get protein as you probably already know from other sources. The Gracie Diet will keep you lean and keep you with a lot of energy that is natural and not from sugary drinks.
Green tea is always good to.

@TheGabster28 It's actually good to measure your food and such because you don't really feel full for 15 minutes so if you are a fast eater you can cram a lost of food down in 10 minutes and not feel full. It's best to eat slow so your body has time to catch up with how fast you eat.

Diet, I suspect, has a large cultural component, I became vegetarian 29 years ago because I was living in a house where all the others were vegetarian. I in a sense conformed to the group. Protein is not an issue if you are happy to eat pulses and cheese and soya products. You need, I suspect, in the USA to overcome the expectations that the society places on your plate.

@johncrwarner I did say you can get protein from sources other than mean. Soy and pastas are good for it, but pastas have lots of carbs. Protein is an issue if you are trying to keep on muscle mass and that's the only reason I went on about that.
