This is my 12th loc journey!!! I have visited 21 "Locticians" and I grew my hair, twisted, retwisted, untwisted and shaved my hair off more than I can count. I started in the fall of 04 with my first set of twist no pics that far back cause I HATED MY HAIR!!! It has been said that my hair wont loc cause of my hair texture. Which you will see later on. Now that you a little about my history with locs hopefully you loc'd ladies and gentleman can help a brother out...Now on with My Journey sorry for so much reading...LOL

So I get there and She tells me I have to cut my hair because I have a texturizer...I didnt know what that was but I told her my hair was all natural...She said it still was too long so after about an hour of pleading to keep my hair I let her cut it...

MS. VANESSA WILLIAMS
NATURAL MYSTIC
BATON ROUGE, LA

I LOVE THEM!!!! Everything was perfect this lady was amazing she did this wash that was just out of this world my hair was so clean and smelling good and she did a scalp treatment and everything. The products she used are ones that she makes herself in the salon from all natural products!!! Did I mention the salon is an all Natural Hair salon!!!

SO lets do the math thats 4 years 5 cities 12 loc journies 21 Locticians and over $3,200.00 in prusit of LOCS!!! I have watched literally every video on youtube that has something to do with locs... I am either determined or deranged...I dont know which yet...but I am on my way to locs finally!!! LOL

MUSIC:
1. Kanye West feat. Young Jeezy-808's and Heartbreaks-Amazing

2. Kanye West feat. Lil Wayne-808's and Heartbreaks-See You in my Nightmares

3. Rebirth Brass Band-Album unknown-Do Watcha Wanna

Please comment and PLEASE LEAVE ADVICE!!!

Laissez les bon temps roulez!!!!
(Let the good times roll for all you NON-Louisianians...LOL)

PEACE, LOVE AND LOCS!!!

  • @BeeBAYKdaDOc for our hair texture the best method for locking is to use a tool...ie sisterlocks/brotherlocks, nappylocs, braidlocs, etc...now sisterlocks are very expensive as im sure u now, and no one in baton rouge does nappylocs but their is one guy at Mo Hair salon that does locks with a tool however i dont know his technique and have not seen his work...from personal experience the only person i would recommend is Ms. Vaness at Natural Mystique, the only downside to her is that she is

  • Locs just arent for you. You should never spend money for locs. I'm white and have natural locs. They are so worth the wait and if you dont have the patience then you should at least restrain from paying a loctician. Do it yourself?

  • Wow! long hair journey . im in a cosmo school so i no about hair but im not saying i no everything just like any other hair dresser. the BEST ADVICE i could give u is to go to multiple hair stylist b4 u make any decisions because the last one u went to may have not been able to do your hair simply because she doesnt no how but i bet there was some1 else that could have. so dnt cUt ur hair! lol keep looking for some1 who is willing to do ur hair without cutting or putting chemicals in it

  • Oh WOW! I LOVE your hair! I am mad I left NOLA back in 2000!!! I may have had a salon by then! At any rate, you know your hair CAN lock, it was just a matter of finding someone who was patient and informative at the same time. I hope this set works out! Your hair is amazing!!!

  • alright now mr man!! finally huh?....lol.....beautiful hair...and i'm quite sure your locswill be beautiful as long as you use patience....my daughters hair is your texture and shes been loc'd for about 8 months now.....it took a lot of patience....but its locking....(not fully loc'd yet)...stop by some time...i have vids posted....blessed

  • It'll be nice to see the progression of your locs from this point. You have very nice hair. Nice vid.

  • this is whats up that where i go and they do do an amazin job over there

  • @xxtohruxakitoxx i know this Guy named Bro. Cornell in New Orleans who specializes in doing your type of hair..inbox me if u want his number...u will leave his shop with fully locked hair...

  • @demarcustaylor07 I live in gonzales louisiana and i want dreads, but here's the thing, i'm white, and a 16 year old girl, i have very fine lower shoulder blade length hair, but do you think you could still help me?

  • can't stop watching this video over and over, it's amazing...!

  • If white boys can loc you can too. My hair isnt the kinkiest and it took me 6 months to loc. You gotta stop putting chemicals in your hair. Keep it drier.Sea salt, lime and works. Whats with these loctitians who cant loc? I would have choke slamed a couple of them.
