Only those who knows at least "a finger of music", will share my opinion. And if you really like metal, than you have Dimmu Borgir, King Diamond, or high quality music - Dream Theatre. You can see and feel music in every single song by Jethro tull, and only in some songs of metallica (fade to black, one, mama said, nothing else matters, and 5-6 other songs). Every guitar player (including me) learns metallica songs as basic guitar technique. But no everyone can play Jethro Tull which is classic

Metallica will never be at the same level as jethro tull ... NEVER. The main reason is that Jethro tull play very good music, and one of the best od their time, and metallica - one of the worst of their time.

Hard Rock/Metal music has always been seen as brash white boy angst music that really is looked down by mainstream "pop" press. Oddly enough, it's sold just as much as any pop act in mainstream music. Speak loud and you shall be heard!!!!
