@ttiiyy Mexico never belonged to England and there were too many Anglo immigrants in Mexico.
Spanish cultural legacy in Mexico was great universities, cathedrals, Renaissance and baroque composers, painters, etc ... since the early sixteenth century. You can not compare Mexico with the USA.
Texas was for over 300 years as part of Spain and then Mexico.
When the anglosaxons came to Texas (19th century) was a Spanish-speaking territories, including some Indian tribes.

@ttiiyy The Anglo-Saxons took possession of Texas and pressured the Spanish-speaking settlers, many of whom moved to Mexico and Cuba.
Hispanics in Texas have the same right as anglosaxons to use their mother tongue in Texas. Anglos in Texas were the last to arrive.

@dilanhernandez If you live in Mexico, how can you survive if you prefer to speak English? Who the hell in Mexico will provide you English services?????? It's not so "free" after all. Cut the crap, for God's sakes.

@Rivera8186 Well some people in the US did think about renaming these cities and towns, but they don't wan to be labeled racist. You see, American people are not as racist as people in Mexico and other Spanish speaking countries which force everyone to speak Spanish.
¡Muy buena decisión, bravo por El Cenizo! Un saludo amigos, desde el @ Canal de Filipinas en idioma español.
