師傅贈送給他的鏡屏，上面的文字為：

This was a message prevalent in the Cantonese films of the 1950s, as it was a time when thousands and thousands of immigrants flooded into Hong Kong and they inevitably faced many problems in their new residency like poverty, housing, job, solitude...

有Ｄ感慨！以前香港好多窮人，都有一班有心既電影人用電影反映時­弊，現在香港既問題比幾十年前更嚴峻更復雜，但時下Ｄ港產片只係­睇住個大陸市場。唉！

中港的「合拍片」也有出色的作品, 可是...總略嫌缺乏了一份本土氣息吧。最近看了麥曦茵的《烈日­當空》, 我覺得她能夠捕捉香港年輕人的躁動, 如此強烈的躁動, 在其它華語電影鮮有的。
