This is a weird one---the setting is unusual. Why are Donald and the boys living in this creepy old dump that seems to be under renovation? Notice many of the rooms have this half-finished look and a lot of the walls are cracked and peeling. And that stepladder standing in a room with a unvarished wooden floor----yeesh. You can almost taste the sawdust in the air.
As a setting it just stands out among all the places Donald's lived in. Makes this cartoon kind of strange and disorienting. =)

Donald can book on those stilts.

Ajax the gorilla reminds me so much of Donkey Kong!

THIS is much better than 'POWERPUFF GURLS' or Metal fight beyblade

I enjoy the chase between Donald and Ajax the gorilla, esp. the one with stilts and boots :D The music so encouraging for running: "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!"

Ha! ha... very funny
1944! Wow. It really is surprising to find these are as old as they are, for two reasons, at least: the animation is still fantastic as ever and the humor is timeless. Apart from the old fashioned radio and a few other artifacts, this could easily have been made at any time. We have words like "classic" for a reason. These 'toons are definitely classics.
