Cool Video Misterdeity, I love learing about the inner workings of a religion from someone who has been on the inside. May I ask? I remember there was a skit on Bill Mahar's Real Time show talking about Mitt Romney's father in law, and Mormons baptizing the dead. I have a curiosity about that, and I think many of your listeners might as well. I wonder if this could be a muse for a future Lazy Eye production, in any case thanks for all that you do.

The book of mormon's tagline is "Another testament of Jesus Christ", and yet Jesus isn't in the book very much. He essentially makes a cameo in the story.

Mormons are dogmatic, but so are Muslims and some Christians. Just 50 years ago Christianty was also very dogmatic, even today in the USA many Christians are still loyal to the dogmatic of the Bible. A dogma like the idea that the Earth is 5000 years old, or that females are lesser then males.

Dogmatism in Christianity and Islam is the reason why so many got killed in the name of God ( Allah ).

I think that Islam is very similar to Mormonism in the concept of a perfect book. So much so that I suspect that J. Smith might have copied a bit of how it was revealed from Muhammed. Also the Quran IS bigotted towards christians and jews, including references to them as the vilest of creatures. And that is not even touching the Hadiths or Sunnas for problems.

Both religions got their 'revelations' from golden books, had angels involved and had revelations going on for years.Handy.
