In Loving Memory - Cupid | RIP Baby Boy

A tribute video to my little boy Cupid, Peach Faced Lovebird. Losing him is devastating and I cannot explain how difficult this has been. Cupid, we miss you so much. Despite your short time with us... you were a loved and adored part of our family. We will take good care of your little family and hope that you can watch over us all.

EDIT: anyone wishing to make negative comments about how this happened, feel free to do so - but since you cannot speak intelligently about the situation as you don't know me or the history here - it will only prove you to be as ignorant as your comment will likely be. I still can't stop watching this sad video and everytime i do i cry so hard. :'( It's a sad and beautiful story though. I can relate to this video because i had a lovebird once too and i also made a stupid mistake and i lost him so this really touches me. Valentine and Cupid were perfect together.<3 I own 3 lovebirds and 2 of them mated and we now have 3 baby lovebirds! I have a cat too and so help me god if it ever came close to my lovebirds. R.I.P Cupid.

@tzuczek thx for ur kind words. please see my reply to pomrenke below about the cat. just don't be complacent and assume that ur cat won't harm. they are predatory with instincts beyond their control. just be vigilant and everything should be fine. also remember, buddy (my cat) is fine with my bigger birds, but lovies are smaller, flip their wings more and make those irresistable chirps and that is really what attracted him to cupid. :-(

@pomrenke01 i understand how u can say that about my cat... i felt the same way initially. but it wasn't his fault. he's a cat. a predatory animal with instincts beyond his or my control. it was my fault for being complacent. and i guarentee u it hasn't happened since. yes, i still have buddy, the cat that did this and despite thinking that i would never feel the same about him again... i do. i love him - he's the sweetest most loving cat in the world. i cannot fault him. thx for visitg

i totally understand your loss- people may think "oh its just a bird" but they aren't - they are a family member, a friend and someone we love like a child. I lost my bird Simon yesterday and I'm devastated.. I knew it would hurt losing him but didn't realise how much.

@sarahv748 i'm so sorry i'm responding so late. as u can imagine i don't watch this often. but love to come and see the lovely comments everyone leaves. i'm sorry to hear u lost ur simon. here it is over 3 years later and i STILL think of cupid all the time. he was indeed a very special bird and i will miss him til i meet up with him again where ever we all end up. hang in there sara, time heels and even tho it hurts... it does come a time when u start thinking more of the good memories

This story brings memories of my budgie, elroy. he was my first bird he lived in my room for a while with my princess parrot then we put them both in the shed along with my sisters love bird i then got him a friend Leroy who is still alive i opened the roller door up every morning and covered them every night but one night i went out there to cover him up and he was gone i cried for days thinking of what leroy had to go through watching his bestfriend die i found him laying next to his best bud

I know it seems cruel but it's the best thing for both pets. When I got my budgie I gave my cat to a friend because I noticed that, sooner or later, an accident was just around the corner. You're a cat and birds owner just like I was, so i guess you'll know how much love can a bird give to you, and how much strong a relationship with these amazing animal can become. And you'll know that there's no cat in the world (and probably no animal at all) that can love an human like a bird does.

If I could give you some advice: make a choice. Cats and birds can not live in the same environment, even if we're talking about the sweetest cat in the world he remains a predator with predator instincts. As hard as you'll try to watch after your cat you're never gonna be 100% incident-free, trust me. Even if you think their playing a bite or a hit form cat can kill your bird really fast as you experimented. things happen fast. If you really love your birds give the cat away. [continues]

I've been trying to write a comment on this video but everytime I was about to do it I started crying like a baby. I feel your pain. My budgie died 4 years and I still miss him bad. I grew up with him and we had some great moments together, than he suddenly died after 11 years with us. I will regret for the rest of my life not having spent his last days with him cause I was very busy with school. Now I'd do anything to have him back even only for one day and I would spend every second with him
