This amusing video (taken by Tony Lee in July 2008) features the unforgettable reaction of a handful of kayakers off the coast of Mobile, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Their once in a lifetime experience - with some curious humpback whales as they frolic only feet from their kayaks, translates into an entertaining short video.

  • Holy crap u guys are nuts .... Cool to watch but I'd like my boat to be a little bigger and made of steel lol

  • Looks like a minke/grumpus.

  • While out with Chris from 'Sea of Whales' from Trinity we had a beautiful Humpback swim under our boat. It was so amazing! This video though surpasses what I experienced!

  • The whales probably thought those small boats were a school of fish.. and were checking them out to eat them.

  • @MJPKENT Good true words my friend, nature just melts my heart every time without fail. And for sure it can be life changing big-time, but hey dude the only crack i'v ever had is the Irish craic lol, as you know brother the herb is my drug of choice, that and love.

  • @MJPKENT Dude that was just awesome, i'd love an encounter like that. You would never forget something as cool as that. Superb.

  • Given your voice, he probably loved the frequency, or what he thought you were saying to him.
