I love the corvette zr1!! It is truly a supercar!! And the best part!! The zr1 gets near 20 mpg!! Thats WITH 638 sweet bone breaking horsepower. Man do i love the zr1!!!!

how is the frame cast iron when it it made out of hydro formed aluminum? how is the car a gas guzzler when it is making over 600hp and getting over 20mpg. what other car does that? none. how comes a pushrod motor can smoke a high tech gtr or a ferreri 599? tell me this....the car is under 3450lbs...how is that two tons? are you stupid? my american classic car is old as shit and isn't falling apart....tell me the last time romania made a great car that people hyped about. never? thats right.

@black84z28 I agree but I'm gonna have to correct you on some numbers.

ZR1 gets 19mpg on the highway. If you want better fuel economy look no further than the Z06 which gets 24mpg and C6 that gets 27mpg.

ZR1 weights less than 3200lbs. Everything on this car is low weight. 3450lbs is the weight of my 4th gen Camaro.

@metalgtp i love how people say the zr1 set a nurburgring record.

1. has you ever been to germany? (yes?) then you should know that nurburgring does not set official times for street cars

now with that being said... go (use google if you have to) find the official nurburgring website and try to find the zr1's time...it should be easy right? as you said...it set the track record so it should be up there under #1 .. but its not there why? see item 1 (ask yourself where did this # come from?)
