Rhode Island Red Hen on the Run

A Rhode Island Red Hen zigs and zags through the chicken run in an effort to keep the other hens from snatching a morsel of food from her beak. She finds protection in the "air raid shelter" and finishes her meal.

The other breeds were Buff Orpingtons and Plymouth Barred Rocks. We now have Golden Comets, which are a beautiful bronze color and lay dark eggs, like the Reds.

my rhode island red got attacked by my other chicken(we think it is an americana) because she found a HUGE grub. They do that kind of stuff all the time.

They do this from the beginning. I saw a cricket jump into the brooder where this girl in my Ag class just placed 70 chicks. One chick got it and was being chased in circles by the other 69.
