Larsen traps are incredibly efficient. I set my trap on monday and have so far caught 8 magpies (3 days). How many songbirds nests have I saved?

Looks like you had quite a few about! Keep up the good work, they are a vermin that most deff need number control!!

I have been killing lots of songbirds this year because they were eating some larva of a rare butterfly in my area. Also a pair of blackbirds had to go as they were attacking my kitten when all it wanted was to eat their chicks. As if there are not enough blackbirds about! Also there is a new housing development and road planned in the countryside near my house that will help to get rid of more songbird habitat.

@ scarfunk why dont you try keeping your wildlife killing cat indoors where it belongs and maybe it wouldnt get attacked..wont be long before a large raptor eats it for lunch.. for all you magpie trappers look up a Bal Chatri trap ..when you use a small mouse in it the magpies will get caught in it time and again..=)

I'm going to catch the two magpies that keep attacking my cat and rip there fucking feathers out, not kill them just rip there fucking feathers out!

@ThInTrM You are right. At last it is good to see someon else like me who knows about the untold damage crows and magpies inflict on birds.Trouble is the doo-gooders and the miss-informed go around listening to much to the likes of Bill Oddie etc and believe everything they are told by the likes of him.

@JODIMAR45 HayabusaR1300 meant "people" when he said "peep."
In other words, he's saying that anyone trying to protect songbirds from going extinct due to magpies and crows needs to be killed, rather than the magpies and crows themselves.
Which makes HayabusaR1300 more of an asshat than that ukp571 guy.
