  • "If they're looking for Intelligent Life, they don't want to start at the United Nations!"

That's a funny way to pronounce "FOX NEWS!"

  • At the current rate of our society, if an alien came to earth it would be sued for copyright infringement.

  • @EVLWNS I wouldn't go that far, a potato at least has a use and purpose.

  • Goddamit, how can someone be so damn smart, I think Michio is genetically engineered from a cloning lab using the DNA of the smartest asian mixed with the DNA of the best salesman on earth.

  • @MeLikeyLikey100 Take another look at the posts here. You'll see wingnuts a plenty blasting Dr. Kaku. Point taken on the pundit himself, though.

  • @MeLikeyLikey100 Actually, they first pressured Akre and Wilson to tell distorted versions of the account, and fired them for not doing so. Initially, they won in court and then the verdict was overturned based on the technicality that it wasn't actually illegal for a news network to lie to viewers and represent this as news, thereby setting that precedent.

  • @bobpeters61 I wanted to believe the inherent hatred of the UN in FOX News, but all he really asks Dr. Kaku is why UN and not NASA. Afterall, one is a governing body whereas the other is a technological institute more likely to have the means of carrying out such a proposal for contacting alien life. Other than the skeptical tone he takes in the beginning (a tone Anderson Cooper probably would've used too over such a topic) there's just not really anything to "nail" them on here.

  • @bobpeters61 No, I meant it was a myth over what everyone was touting it as being about. We were all told it was over "FOX News' right to make up whatever they want". The reality of the Jane Akre was not that glamorous. What happened was that WTVT did not run Akre's report so she charged that their actions were tantamount to telling lies. That was pretty much it.

  • @MeLikeyLikey100 It is quite an innocuous segment, but the right wingers, including the Fox News pundits therein, are so consumed with hatred of the UN that they have to attack Dr. Kaku for not denouncing the UN in his scientific analysis.

Dr. Kaku is an apolitical scientist and those who attack his academic credibility should show their contribution to science first and compare it to his. String Field Theory, anyone?
