PES2009 - gameplay snippet

Here's a very short segment of gameplay lifted from one of the longer videos doing the rounds today (20th August 2008). For me this highlights a couple of things: yes, the game looks alarmingly similar to PES2008, BUT - thankfully - the ball physics and player movements both seem a lot 'heavier'. For now, for me, the glass is half full.

omg its shit again i have got pro for 4 years now but fifa is looking better now.

I just felt it was less simulation and more arcadey, dont get me wrong i still played it and enjoyed it. The ball seemed to go straight to players feet every time and glide along the surface. It felt scripted. I just feel it wasnt as good as previous versions on the ps2 which felt a better quality. Also on the next gen consoles they take quite a few features out such as the training mode (passing, shooting, dribbling challenges) and reduced the edit mode.

The ball physics look a little better than pes 08 and a bit closer to the earlier pes on ps2 which is good .I'll buy it because i always do but after the dissapointment of Pes 2008 i am not anticipating 09 as much. This vid doesnt show much to get excited about either tbh which is dissapointing for pes fans.
