Working with 1/2" tubing, unwrapped, 31" in diameter. Dancing in my barn to James McMurtry's "Late Norther." His songs are among my favorites to listen to because of his honest and harsh lyrics. I love the rolling rhythms of his guitar playing and his use of open tunings. A lot of his songs are haunting and that appeals to me. This is the only song of his that I really hoop to, but it is often on my playlist for practice.

  • I also want to add that I probably won't go down much more in size unless my body miraculously gets a lot narrower!

  • My hoops are now 31" diameter 1/2'tubing. There are several beautiful hoopers here using that same size. I think Christabel in SF and Sharna Rose have also been playing with the super small light hoops. It's kinda nice that so many of us, near and far, are moving in a similar direction. That being said, I think it is very important to go with a hoop size that works for YOU as there is no right size except what you like at any given moment.

  • Thanks to both of you. The pants are actually from last summer's Hoop Path Retreat when I got my serger. I copied them from a design by Kia Carscallen and didn't finish sewing the side seams.

I use a 32 in. 1/2 in so much faster!

  • Beautiful

  • ♫♥ you are such an inspiration. Great poise, your movements are just so elegant ♫♥

  • very smooth- I like when the hoop seems to be speeding around while you are moving slow and steady.

  • Beautiful! Grace, poise, and strength.

  • I have to say that this is absolutely beautiful... I just started hooping and watching your video is just an inspiration. My hoop is pretty big right now just because I've heard its easier to start on larger hoops.

  • I love this video so much--one of your best ever, Beth. Love you xo
