I wouldn't think so, they're essentially the same bass just one has the headstock backwards.
Both of them use the old horseshoe pickups too.
but I've heard that the c64 has much more growl.

Love the playing. Do you hear a big difference between the 4001V63 and the 4001c64s? Both are amazing basses.
