the kataha sounds like buddhism a bit, but i thin jainism predates buddhism. sorry if am wrong, anyway the chants of jainism sounds nice. i love the sounds.

Jain's do not believe in any particular God. In their prayers they worship people who have attained "moksha" (salvation). They worship them asking for guidance so that they can also attain moksha.
