The Army's Airborne & Special Operations Museum in downtown Fayetteville, NC is a lasting tribute to the men and women who have been a part of these elite units from the beginnings in 1940 through World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and into the future. The museum displays movies, artifacts, and actual aircraft and vehicles to tell the story of how these soldiers get their training and the perils they face when deployed. The museum is free and open to the public just outside of Fort Bragg.
