I like the strength of the Chakma people, they rejected the taxes of the East India Company for many years and although weak militarily they still fought on many occasions with the British. The vast majority of the Chakma are followers of Theravada Buddhism, a religion that they have been practising for centuries. Of late, reports surfaced that several foreign and local missionaries have been trying to convert the Chakmas to Christianity without success.
