sucrose is the cause of heart disease. Glucose and fructose make sucrose and fructose cannot be properly metabolized by the body as glucose ( primary source of energy for cells). Fructose is converted into excess cholesterol in the liver.

Okay that is pretty high. There's many reasons why you have high cholesterol. Now I'm not a doctor or anything like that, but first off you have think about if high cholesterol runs in your family. If not, then maybe you should try to eat more saturated fat, despite the myths and what the doctors tell you. Just make sure you get it from good sources, like grass fed(not commercial or supermarket) beef, if you can afford it, eggs, coconut oil, etc. Do not get it from McDonald's burgers.

Around 400. Which is odd because I really dont eat that much meat or meat fat. I just dont get it. Im trying to regulate it with diet but may have to go back on the statin drugs.
Great quote from Natasha Campbell McBride, MD:
"Calling HDL 'good cholesterol' and LDL 'bad cholesterol' is like calling an ambulance en route to a patient, a bad ambulance, and an ambulance en route to the hospital 'a good ambulance'. LDL moves cholesterol from the liver to the body, and HDL moves cholesterol from the body back to the liver.

VLDL (very low density lipo proteins) is a measurement for the amount of low density lipo-proteins in the blood. The size of the these lipo proteins can penetrate the endothelium, contributing to inflammation. However, one must always ask: WHAT CAUSES THIS RESPONSE in the body? One of the most damaging molecules the body encounters is the sugar molecule. Those with fast oxidative tendencies require a much higher amount of saturated fat, protein, cholesterol in the diet. If done right, no risk!

According to legitimate research from a variety of well-respected holistic nutrition clinics, only about 1% of people have very high cholesterol because of genetic reasons.
Furthermore, a total cholesterol level over 200 does not indicate anything in and of itself.
