you sure thats a DAO? I havent seen a DAO pt145 pro? I have one with the duotone slide, and its definitely single action. It has a double action second strike capability that only activates when the round doesnt fire. You can do the double action trigger pull when there are no rounds in the chamber and you pull the trigger first, but loaded mag, and one in the chamber, it will be Single action on the first shot. Be carefull

It is all about training though and lots of practice if you are going to carry that gun.

nice review man only thing i disagreed on was the safety comments you made, i have a child and i don't want him to shoot it until he's old enough to respect one altho i do keep it locked and hidden from him doesn't mean our kids don't know how to find stuff for some reason they can find anything to be in trouble but still a great review

Why you have to have to send this back to Brazil to get it fixed or have the original "owner do it for you", then you state "the warranty transfers from owner to owner". Which is it?

Taurus website states: "The Taurus Unlimited Lifetime Repair Policy™ is just that. The lifetime of the gun...not the buyer". They fixed mine and returned it in 13 days and I bought this from a friend of mine.

Also try loading your own ammo it's cheaper!

I have owned my PT145 for about 4 yrs and still love it , it is always by my side I have been running a Hip Hop club in Las Vegas and it fits in my jean pocket and for the past 3 yrs know one knows it's even there it is nice to have the insurance this gun gives -One
