Zumba is not only latin music. It's use several music from all over the world like african music, indian music, middle east music, and so on.
Sh'bam is a sad an poor coy of Zumba. They even use the same marketing argument to sale their "concept". It's a shame.

Through feedack from Les Mills instructors and participants a need was identified for a more simple dance based program with easier moves and more simple choreography. The answer was Sh'bam. Sh'bam and BODYJAM, although both LM products are completely different programs in essence and feel.
As for being an answer to Zumba, yeah it is in that they are both simple to do dance based programs. Where Zumba takes only from Latin based discliplines, Sh'bam is still as varied as BODYJAM.

I agree with SalsaConnection. Les Mills think that Sh'bam could be better than Zumba, but to be honest I get the feeling they just copy/ borrow and/or steal things and then give it another name. Not just with Sh'bam/Zumba...think of Les Mills RPM; spinning (johhny G), body combat (tai bo) etcetera. These people at Les Mills don't have the creativity to think of something new that just not excist. All they can do is copy/borrow/steal. I'm sorry, but that is my opinion.

didn't like it ... there's bodyjam already and it's rock ,.. so no need for other dance class !
and rachel is cool enoguh with bodycombat

this program is crap....what was Les mils thinking....so girly....don't think boys want to attempt this one .....not worth it...Jam still rocks and fair to both sexes
-
Isso é um novo programa da Les Mills?
Realle? Its too girly? I think a dance for women could be a good idea. A lot of girls get embarazed with guys around.
But, I agree too that Body Jam its AWSOME, and COMPLETE. Rachel and Gandalf are grat at that program, I would like to Les Mills explainme the basic diference of the programs, `cause i think there´s a razonable razon for to this :P

[Disclamer: below is just my opinion, which im entitled to express here, exactly the same as everyone else.]
Haha... It's Les Mills attempt to find an answer to Zumba. The Jam program was already out & was good, but then came Zumba and it's now kicking Jam's butt... So now he's trying to bring in his version of Zumba in Sh'bam. It doesn't impress me, I'm sorry.
Jam is a good program, but a lot of people seem to like Zumba more (for a lot of reasons, which I will not go into here), so I unders
